The biggest differences, as far as I was always concerned was that there was no IIS, and I always presumed that Home can't join a domain.
No IIS is enough for me to have never have looked at it :)
To add to this, I believe there is also a limitation on 5 XP Home PCs you can have in a workgroup.
Yeah, really. I refuse to run Windows XP Home Edition. It's too slimmed down for my liking. Professional is the way to go with me.
