    BackUps

I recently tested Acronis TrueImage 8.0 for servers.  Bottom line = I am impressed.  It's amazing on how far along back up software/imaging solutions have come.  I built a test server running Windows Server 2003 and had a simple website using a SQL backend built to test it.  I installed the Acronis software on it, reboot, and then did a full image backup.  After verifying the image, I shut down the server and reformatted the hard drive.  I then rebooted the server from the boot CD that Acronis True Image 8.0 Server prompted me to make beforehand and it worked beautifully. The entire server and data was recovered seemlessly with no lost data, etc.  It just works, and works great.  I highly recommend this to anyone who has mission critical servers running.  I am looking into rolling this out to my servers using a new backup system  (I want to go with a high capacity SAN or NAS, can't decide yet).
